Finsef is a registered Insurance broker under license number 2/9/208 issued by Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) and operating within the borders of the Republic of Botswana.

We specialize in personal, commercial and health offerings. FinSef focus on spending significant time with our clients in understanding their needs. This allows us to offer target insurance coverage that fit their specific needs. We remain dedicated to creating strong relationships with our customers, insurance carriers, and employees.

Mr Jagdish Shah


Jagdish Shah, a citizen of Botswana is one of the most successful businessmen in the country.

His business acumen and understanding of the country provides direction to the FinSef management team.

Mr Partha Ghosh

Managing Director

Partha Ghosh, a Chartered Accountant from India, has over 17 years of experience post-qualification providing insurance advisory services and extensive auditing and accounting experience in India, Botswana, and the US. He established FinSef after working at PwC Botswana, where he spent two years on secondment to the US. During his tenure at PwC, he gained 11 years of specialized experience in the insurance industry, encompassing both life and non-life insurance. Partha served as the senior in charge of AIG Corporate, Chartis Internal controls, and AIG funding and treasury audit during 2011-12, when AIG was the world's largest insurance company.

Mr Keolebogile Pele Moleta

Partner/Executive Director

Pele Moleta has been in the financial sector for most of his career and joined FIinSef on the 1st November 2020. He started work at FNBB in 1994 after graduating from the University of Botswana where he studied Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics. He left the bank in 2000 to pursue interests in asset management with Old Mutual Asset Managers and later as part of the founding team for the Botswana IFSC. He re-joined FNBB in 2005 to establish the public sector division for the bank and was thereafter promoted to head of corporate banking division in 2006.

Pele joined the public sector as director general and chief executive of Botswana Post in 2008, where he served for 7 years leading a successful transformation of the postal service. On leaving the post office he returned briefly into banking as chief operating officer with Barclays Bank, and left to pursue interests in large scale construction, mining and power generation for 3 years. He joined Hollard in 2019 as executive head of sales and business development.

Mr. Maxwell Meke 

General Manager

Mr. Maxwell Meke is an accomplished executive who served as the Chief Executive Officer of an insurance brokerage firm between 2020-2022. During this period, he was responsible for overseeing the firm's departments, including corporate and personal lines for private and government-affiliated organizations. His role involved acquiring new business, marketing, negotiating insurance renewals with clients and insurers, and serving as the Compliance Officer for the firm.

Previously, Mr. Meke worked as the Principal Officer and Managing Director of another insurance brokerage firm from 2012-2020. In this position, he managed the company's departments, oversaw insurance renewals for private and government-affiliated organizations, and reported to the Board of Directors and the insurance regulatory body NBFIRA. He was also responsible for acquiring new business, preparing reports, tenders, and quotations for corporate clients, and holding report presentation meetings and renewal meetings with clients.
